Research & Development

The foundation of this commitment is the John T. Ryan Memorial Laboratory near Pittsburgh, the world's most sophisticated proving ground for safety products.

Today, MSA's global engineering teams operate in the U.S. as well as in Australia, Brazil, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, China and several other countries. Within each is a talented team that draws on the expertise of other MSA engineers around the globe. The result is a synergy of ideas that is benefiting customers worldwide.

This collaborative spirit has resulted in the joint design of such leading edge products as the Advanced Combat Helmet, the Firehawk® MMR Regulator and the Orion® Multigas Detector.
