BGI, Incorporated was founded in 1971 for the purpose of developing and manufacturing instruments for the sampling of airborne particulates -- aerosols. Our sphere of interest has spanned the range from the submicron fraction (Pollak nuclei counter) to 100 micrometers (high volume samplers). The company owns patents on a C.N. counter, the variable resistance calibrator for hi-vols, a unique valve for gas sampling bags and a unique solution to keeping dust from contaminating the lenses of photometers.
The company's interests are wide ranging in the aerosol field, and include occupational health, ambient particulate pollution, aerosol generation, and toxicology.
